TIAA • Retire Inequality
The world demands more of women, but gives them less in return. TIAA wants to fix that and help Retire Inequality.
For the 50th anniversary of Title IX—the landmark legislation that made it illegal for federally funded institutions to discriminate based on sex—we created a film as part of a larger campaign calling attention to the fact that despite the progress, the playing field remains unequal, whether financially, or within education and sports. Women still retire with 30% less income than men.
The film—which features iconic women like NASCAR's Brehanna Daniels, gymnast Nia Dennis, and basketball coach and Hall of Famer Dawn Staley—came to life at the hands of an all-female team, from the producers to the editor to music, sound design and mix to the director, Rocio Crudo.
